About UsAntiques on Main has been a staple in downtown Crown Point for over 12 years now. Loretta owned the business for a number of years, and soon brought younger sister Brenda in as a vendor. In 2021 the news came that the building was going to be sold, and we would be losing our beloved location. We had spent our entire lives in our family floral business and had learned how to run a business from the best, our late dad Ray Bryan. Loretta considered retiring and calling it a day. The prospect of finding a new spot that would be a good fit was daunting, and settling into the role of Grandma was sounding better and better. With a bit of persuasion, Brenda talked her into not letting Antiques on Main fade into history, agreed to partner with Loretta, and began the work of quickly finding a new building. The old Firestone, the perfect building right down the street, seemed to already be spoken for, but we continued to hold out hope. With only weeks left to move, we got the news that the building might be available. A few quick phone calls and visits, planning and dreaming and the lease was signed! Antiques on Main was still alive and as a bonus, was still going to be on Main Street! MUCH work and long hours developed into over 65 booths in a fully rented building. We vacated our old building at 208 S. Main on May 1st , 2021 and opened up for business at our new location, 142 N. Main on July 5th, 2021. Though the process was not easy, we absolutely love our new building! We are so happy to still be in downtown Crown Point and work hard every day to make our happy place the best that it can be! We pride ourselves on being hardworking, fair, welcoming and creative, and hope you enjoy being here as much as we do! |
